Why will my 1997 Hyundai only start after turning over repeatedly?
Q. My 1997 Hyundai is having problems starting. Regardless of weather, engine temperature, or moisture, it will only start after repeatedly turning over. It sounds like to me that it is a starter/solenoid problem but I defer to those with greater knowledge and experience than myself. Thanks in advance, brothers and sisters.

You have bad spark plug wires or WIRE it sounds like it is very hard to start. change the plugs 2 it could be the fuel pressure regulator is stuck or not cycling the fuel in the right amount into the fuel rail. 3 have the fuel pump and filter check/ changed if needed especially the filter. 4 if none of the above has been the cause have the shop check the >TPS sensor <"Throttle Position Sensor" the shop will hook a meter to it and make sure its getting the right amount of voltage/ampers if the switch is going out it should be replaced this sensor tells the computer how much the accelerator is depressed therfore speedeing up the engine. 5 something easy for the shop to replace is the ignition module or coil this is the same thing… [cont.]

What causes boilover in a 1997 chrysler concorde, from the coolant reservoir drain hose?
Q. 1997 Chrysler Concorde, the top of the coolant reservoir (this car doesn't have access to the actual radiator, if you need to add fluid has to be done from the coolant reservoir) has the drain hose in case of overfill or boilover. The drain hose is attached to the reservoir, but the other end is not attached to anything. I noticed it overheating today, and when looking under the hood couldn't see any leaks. Under the car, there was a slight leak coming from the side of the reservoir (passenger side) almost behind and in front of the wheel. When I cut the car off, water started shooting from the hose for boilovers. That either shouldn't happen, or it should be routed back into the tank. Any clue what causes this? A. Yup. There's a bolt on the side of the tranny that you can pull to check the level. You'll need to look in the service manual to be sure which bolt it is, though. If the oil is level with the bottom edge of the bolt hole, you're good. To make matters worse, you're expected to add oil through the same bolt hole. You'll want a funnel with a hose, or a turkey baster. Follow-up: My '87 Toyota truck has never been drained and refilled. I just check the level every couple of years and top up as necessary. It has never needed much. At 127K miles your car is overdue for a tranny fluid level check in my opinion.

Then grab some old cardboard and build a custom enclosure. Get some good string from your local dollar store, cuz you really don't need metal anyway... It's just heavy and boring. Don't forget to pick up about 20 rolls of duct tape from Home Depot, and throw it together in whatever way you see fit. OR... You could just take your car to a reputable, yes reputable shop, and have them hook you up. I've known a lot of dealers/installers, and even though they make commission, most of them are good at setting you up with something in your price range with the performance you want. Q. I have a 1997 black Maxima with a damaged side mirror. I was looking at eBay and found a set of mirrors with LED lights that flash when you signal for a turn (like that of the Benz). My concern is installing them. Since the stock mirrors don't have flashing lights, how am I supposed to wire the mirrors to be able to get a message from the car when it is signaling?

The have archives of newspapers where you can search for articles. Often it is on microfiche and many libraries are putting them on computers. I have posted a link to their website. Hope it helps
